Arrowverse: Every Major Easter Egg, Clue & Reference To 'Crisis On Infinite Earths'

6. The Supergirl Season 2 Poster

Supergirl Crisis On Infinite Earths
DC Comics/The CW

When Tyler Hoechlin's Superman was introduced into Supergirl's second season, it didn't take long for the show to begin paying homage to some of the Man of Steel's most legendary moments. From saving a plane to battling Metallo, there were quite a few recognisable moments in the first two episodes, but the one that undoubtedly stood out the most was the image of Superman holding his prone cousin in his arms.

Featured on a Season 2 poster and the second episode of the season, "The Last Children of Krypton", the shot was a reference to the cover of Crisis On Infinite Earths Issue 7 - the issue in which Supergirl was killed during her battle with the Anti-Monitor.

This was undoubtedly a cool little tribute to the infamous comic book cover, but is this all that it was? Or could this shot also have been forewarning us of things to come? Will the Girl of Steel make it out of this live-action Crisis alive?
