Arrowverse: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
2. Arrow Season 2
Deciding against a random Green Arrow villain to take Dark Archer's place, the Arrow writers opted to tie the season's main narrative to the flashbacks, meaning that a large portion of the story’s foundation had already been laid. And this allowed for a much deeper story, as Oliver's thought-to-be-dead friend-turned-enemy Slade Wilson set his sights on destroying him.
It's hard to describe the quality of the second season because words couldn't do it justice. Every character had a purpose, every storyline a meaning as two years of storytelling came to a head in one of greatest second seasons in the history of television. This is the kind of vendetta-driven drama every dark superhero series should aspire to create.
Arrow was never better than it was here.
