1. Eren And Armin Visit The Ocean
In the most poignant moment of the season, Eren and Armin finally make it to the ocean. This might not seem like a big deal, but it's actually a major callback to the first episode of the show. Armin tells Eren about the ocean and how he plans on visiting it one day. Although it seemed like a fantasy at the time, Eren still promised his friend that they'd visit it together.
Since that day, the two friends have gone through incredibly hard times together. They've shown each other multiple times that they're both willing to give their life so the other would live and have managed to survive in the process.
Despite finally reaching their goal, there's a strong sense of sadness as Eren wonders if killing their enemies across the ocean will finally free his people. Has everything they've been through leading up this point been worth it?
