The Premise: A car accident leaves Bruce Wayne comatose. Batman must make his way out of the underworld and back to the world of the living and help another coma victim along the way.
Why it Would Work: The least popular of all the choices on our list, Sleeping has what it takes to make a wonderful live-action adaptation. The entire setting is within some amalgamation of a dreamworld and the afterlife giving it an ethereal ambiance. We are offered a look into Batman's spiritual side as he traverses the land in an attempt to find his way back and awaken from his coma. There's a feeling of isolation that would translate well to the a live setting. The only foe Batman must face is a terrifying demon from the Underworld which would give the episode a much-needed thrilling tone. While on his journey Batman comes across another victim in need of assistance so the heroics are still here. While other entries on our list provide a look into Bruce Wayne's mind Sleeping does what others have not - it offers us a look into his soul. That alone should be enough to adapt this short trilogy in what could be one of the greatest television episodes of our generation.
