Better Call Saul: 10 Season 6 Fan Theories (That Could Come True)

9. Walt Is Alive At The Same Time As Gene

Gene Better Call Saul
AMC

Gene is the man that Jimmy McGill becomes. After the events of 'Ozymandias', he managed to escape, via the vacuum service, and can now be found working at a Cinnabon in Nebraska. There, he is living a menial existence and is spending the rest of his days in hiding - though there is one thing kept a mystery: the show never makes it clear where this part of the timeline is set.

How long after the events of Breaking Bad are we? Because if we're set only a few months after Ozymandias, then this would mean that Walt is still alive and planning to take his final revenge on Jack and the Nazis.

By the time we catch back up to Gene, he is balding and looks like he has aged - but could this could be a ploy to a final end? Gilligan has often used costume design to his advantage, so might Gene be purposely making himself look different to keep a low profile?

Could Walt manage to catch up to Gene somehow during his voyage back to New Mexico? It seems unlikely with what we know about the series, but not completely impossible.

However, if Walt is alive then expect the news in Gene's time to feature the same story that was shown in El Camino when Jesse finally escaped the compound. This then begs the question of whether or not El Camino the real ending of Breaking Bad? Or does Jesse have one last thing to do in hunting down Goodman?

Likelihood of Walt Being Alive: 5/10. Jesse Going After Goodman: 1/10
