Better Call Saul: 10 WORST Things Jimmy Has Done

8. Scamming People For Fun

Better Call Saul
AMC

Part of what made Jimmy McGill a good lawyer was knowing the ins and outs of a criminal mind. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jimmy was a self-taught, professional con man and he was clearly very proud of it. Throwing around routine hustles and swindling schemes with fake Rolexs, plus the ruse of slipping on ice that soon earned the reputation of Slippin’ Jimmy around his home town.

Even as a lawyer, Jimmy still continued to scam, mainly for the fun of it and he targeted the rich. He included Kim into his scams, most notably when they both hustled an entrepreneur into giving him a check worth thousands of dollars to invest in their made up business.

While these schemes are easily a fun segment on the show as we see just how good Jimmy is at thinking on his feet, acting, and building a story, it really does show just how much of a liar he is, and how Jimmy gets an adrenaline thrill from it.

Jimmy usually does lie and cheat for noble reasons in his own way, but scamming people out of their money, even if he feels they deserve it, shows how easily Jimmy can fall back into his criminal ways just to show what he’s capable of.
