On a similar note, The Entire History of You is another great episode, from Peep Show's Jesse Armstrong this time. It focuses on how Liam (Toby Kebbell) and Ffion's relationship is destroyed by Liam's obsession with using his memory implant to decide whether Ffion (new Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker) is cheating on him.
The revelation that Ffion not only did cheat on him but that their daughter is also not his is another twist that is more of a natural progression of the "be careful what you wish for" nature of the plot, rather than a slap to the face that comes out of a left field.
