3. Eli Kills Tolliver
Agent Tolliver had this coming to him for a long time now. He was a violent man who was prepared to go to any lengths to achieve his goals, an unlike Van Alden, he didn't have any scruples about the actions he took. Even though he was somewhat 'the good guy' because of the side he happened to be on, he was every bit as villainous and underhand as Narcisse. After everything he had put Eli through recently blackmailing him over his son, turning up at his house
a confrontation between the two was bound to happen. The fight between Eli and Tolliver was simply brutal, and Eli's family being partial witnesses to it added to the intensity as the children's cries could be heard nearly throughout the entire ordeal. Eli wasn't just fighting Tolliver out of a need for revenge however; he was fighting for his son's future and freedom. This drove him to lengths we had never seen in Eli before as he attacked Tolliver with a saw and mercilessly beat him to death, continuing long after he had died. The tragedy is in doing so he lost his family, having to flee Atlantic City from the feds. Tolliver's death was satisfying as it brought the death of a much hated and hypocritical character while placing Eli in new territory for next season.
