Bob's Burgers: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
2. Season 5
According to producer Loren Bouchard, the production team were fully committed to making Bob’s Burgers a more family friendly cartoon from season six onwards. And the change in tone, whilst not bad, is noticeable. That’s why season five has aged even better, because it almost feels like a last huzzah to the show’s roots.
The series ticks every box - there’s intense mysteries (Housetrap), musical affairs (Word Hard or Die Trying Girl), top notch seasonal specials (Dawn of the Peck) and a wonderful finale that neatly ties together the main cast with the supporting ensemble to produce some hilarious comedy with various characters bouncing off each other's personalities (The Oeder Games).
Although the show still remained fresh and entertaining afterwards (particularly in the seventh and ninth instalments), it always felt like there was something missing from Bob’s Burgers after the conclusion of season five.
