BoJack Horseman: 10 Burning Questions That Must Be Answered In Season 4
5. Is Penny Scarred After Seeing BoJack Again?
BoJack saw Penny just twice but it seems he made an everlasting impression on her. When she was seventeen and BoJack was rejected by her mother, he and the teenager would've had sex if said mother wouldn't walk in on them. BoJack was ashamed and left immediately, never actually bothering to explain himself.
Years later, when he tries to make amends, he follows Penny, but after noticing that she's a normal, functioning deer, he decides to let her be. Unfortunately, BoJack drunkenly stumbles onto the girl and with the sight of his face all of her fears and traumas come back to haunt her. In typical BoJack fashion, by trying to fix something, he made it much worse.
Will he leave Penny alone or try to reach out to her again and finally allow the girl to let go of her guilt? She understood that their moment of intimacy was a mistake, to which she was rather prone, being so young and inexperienced, yet the second encounter with BoJack was too much for her. Now, unlike during the second meeting, BoJack should really fix things, either personally or through Penny's mom.
