https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbmjM6nw_AI Jungle Book 2 was originally released in 2003 (on DVD and something called VHS), 35 years after the most popular version of the film (1967) which itself came out 35 years after the original (1942). This version now streaming on Netflix features John Goodman and Haley Joel Osment as Baloo and Mowgli while Tony Jay takes over from George Sanders (Mr. Freeze in 60s TV Batman) as the voice of Shere Khan. Reviews at the time were obviously mixed but if you're looking for a Disney film to keep the kids entertained that isn't Minions or Frozen you can't go far wrong - and it might just warm the little ones up for Mowgli's next outing. Jon Favreau is currently putting the finishing touches to the new Jungle Book film due out in Spring 2016 and if all goes well Disney will be combing their back catalogue for more classic reboots. Snow White and the 7 Killer Ninja Mutant Dwarves anyone?
