Breaking Bad: 10 Most Annoying Characters

1. Walter White

No list like this would be complete without including the show's most important character, Walter White. Although enormously sympathetic initially, not to mention fascinating throughout, Walter could also be an incredibly annoying character, often times behaving in ways that made you want to pull your hair out and gnash your teeth. The reasons one can characterize Walter as annoying are different from many on this list. Unlike Skyler, Walter never came off as being excessively powerless. Unlike Marie, his personality wasn't riddled with a multitude of grating quirks. And finally, unlike Jesse, Walter's arc remained firmly and powerfully in motion throughout the series. No, what's annoying about Walter is that, like so many other great men, he often appeared ignorant to how his actions were going to play out, and that there was never going to be a happy ending for himself or his family. Thus, the different points in the show where Walter refused to get out of the game were infuriating to witness, as they indicated how this brilliant man was basically letting himself be controlled (and destroyed) by his own ego.
