Breaking Bad: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One
9. Huell Babineaux
Saul Goodman’s resident henchman, pickpocketer, and hired muscle is one of the few Breaking Bad characters you’d feel comfortable going for a pint with. He’s calm, not prone to evil scheming, and can appreciate the finer things in life, like lying down on an enormous cube of money. More than anyone else, he feels unlikely to fly off the handle or do something stupid.
For much of Breaking Bad, he’s an enigma. He uses his size to menace those who need menacing, but he’s also remarkably nimble with his hands when he needs to swipe a poisonous plot device, for example.
We learn more about his light fingered ways in Better Call Saul, along with his sometimes perplexing loyalty towards the trouble-prone lawyer. In a world full of backstabbers and ladder climbers, Huell is a good company man, an asset to any organisation. Actor Lavell Crawford gives him a real easy going charisma.
Ultimately with Saul ready to skip town, Huell knows his number’s up and spills secrets to the DEA. They leave him with a fate worthy of his mysterious persona - sitting in a safehouse, alone with his thoughts, the future unwritten.
