Breaking Bad: 10 Reasons The Ending Satisfies

8. Remembering Its Roots

Breaking Bad When looking back at the road that leads Walter White to ruin, it's easy to see a simpler time. What was once a simple chemistry teacher at an Albuquerque High School, turned into a meth cook, a drug dealer, and eventually everything just got out of hand. If you didn't re-watch the series, you may have forgotten that even at his most badass, Walt still knew had to relax by taking a well needed beer break after a cook. In the shows closing, you see remnants of that as Walt walks into the lab. He looked around at all of the equipment, and finally he came before a protective mask. A mask which upon pondering, Walt gave the first half-smile that we have seen from him in a long time. Earlier on, when we see a weary Jesse at work, I was reminded immediately of the time that he and Walt spent at Gus' lab. All of this was a nice touch in an attempt to bring everything back full-circle.

I'm a fan of pop-culture in all mediums: Music, Film, Gaming, Comics, TV, Whatever. I can generally find something enjoyable in even the worst trash. I guess as a B-Horror enthusiast, I kind of have to. Currently I'm an author working on a manuscript for a crime novel, and attending school to be an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. In the past I've made a go at running in an election for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for my hometown of Glace Bay. I was 23 at the time, and though I lost (by like a lot), I learned a lot more about politics in a month than I ever learned. Get at me on Twitter @DanWilsonWC
