Breaking Bad: 10 Reasons The Ending Satisfies

2. The Foreshadowing

Breaking Bad Walt1 There's a lot of it going on. At least more than anybody realizes, I think. I talked at the beginning of this list about Felina. So many meanings... but also, Felina was the girl the name of the Mexican girl that Marty Robins fell in love with in El Paso. Has anybody really listened to that song? It's about a brutal standoff that doesn't go so well for the narrator. There were a couple smaller one's in the last few episodes to. One of the larger ones being the time set on the watch that he places on his bedside in the episode prior. It's the time he set just before the jail killings. Perhaps most of note came two seasons before. After being attacked, Hank is in the hospital for surgery. Walt and Walt Jr. are having a conversation, and in it, Walt Jr. brings up Pablo Esocbar and makes note that Pablo was killed just one day after his birthday. It's this foreshadowing that shows some damn good writing. Vince Gilligan knew exactly what they were going to do for a long time, and it really paid off well in the end.

I'm a fan of pop-culture in all mediums: Music, Film, Gaming, Comics, TV, Whatever. I can generally find something enjoyable in even the worst trash. I guess as a B-Horror enthusiast, I kind of have to. Currently I'm an author working on a manuscript for a crime novel, and attending school to be an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. In the past I've made a go at running in an election for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for my hometown of Glace Bay. I was 23 at the time, and though I lost (by like a lot), I learned a lot more about politics in a month than I ever learned. Get at me on Twitter @DanWilsonWC
