Breaking Bad: 10 Worst Things Jesse Pinkman Has Ever Done
1. Selling Drugs At An N.A. Meeting
Much of what Jesse does wrong can be forgiven or at least understood through the lens of desperation, stupidity, or thoughtlessness.
His caper in seasons three and four is the major exception to this. Jesse installs himself and his pals in a rehab group in order to make an easy buck, picking up fragile folks struggling with addiction and getting them straight back onto the habit they’re trying to conquer.
Jesse ultimately clearly feels terrible about this, though he attempts to mask his self loathing in a boastful speech to the group he’s spent so long poisoning. For a while, though, he seems to feel little in the way of guilt, with his plan working and making money without having to kowtow to Walter.
During this time, Jesse finds himself once again embroiled in the throes of his own addiction, and perhaps justifies his behaviour thusly. He no longer cares about his own survival, but in lashing out at the world he causes untold harm to some especially vulnerable individuals, including some with whom he develops a personal bond.
There’s so much going on shortly after this that he never has the chance to reckon with his behaviour, but in terms of downright scumminess, this is as bad as Jesse breaks.
