8. The Prison Killings
As Seen In: Season 5 Episode 8: "Gliding Over All" The prison killings that Walter orchestrates result in one of the series' most memorable and engaging montages. In an effort to kill the nine henchman Mike was paying to keep quiet, Walt turns to Todd's uncle Jack, who has ties with the Aryan Brotherhood gangs of the prisons in which the men are confined. Walt wants the job done simultaneously, in a two-minute window, across three prisons. The killings themselves are brutal, but made worse by the music playing over it and the Godfather-esque way Walt checks his watch, patiently awaiting the phone call that will tell him the job is complete.
