4. Walt Executes A Dealer (Season Three, Episode Twelve)
The victims of Walter White/Heisenberg really started piling up after season four. Removing Gus from the picture may have saved his own hide, and the lives of his family, but it certainly didn't make things any easier for Walt. In fact, as Mike eventually points out, it just ends up further complicating the entire operation and making things much harder for everyone involved. Until the end of season four Walts body count was still pretty low. So how did things get so bad in season four? What happened to begin the metamorphosis of Walt into an outright killer? Jesse, being unstable and relapsed on his drug addiction, is not handling the realization that the dealers who used a child to murder Combo are actually under the employ of Gus as well. At all. Worse? The kid is his girlfriends kid brother. After a meeting with Gus where he informs all parties involved that the use of children to move his product must stop, guess what happens? The kid is mysteriously found shot dead in the street, not leaving much of a case of who done it. Jesse reaches the breaking point, and decides to disregard everything that Gus said and take matters into his own hands. As he approaches the two dealers on the street while brandishing a pistol, clearly outnumbered and in over his head, it looks like Jesse is walking into his own certain demise. Then out of nowhere comes Heisenberg himself, barreling towards the dealers with the pedal to the floor of his Pontiac Aztec. Walt mows down both dealers, killing one and injuring the other. He then exits the car, grabs the surviving dealers gun, and shoots him in the head before yelling, Run! and telling Jesse to flee to avoid the repercussions of his actions.
