Across the 8 seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, we got to see the friendship of Jake Peralta and Terry Jeffords grow.

Sergeant Jeffords takes his job seriously and finds himself being a reliable father figure of the precinct. He makes sure all his detectives aren't up to anything too crazy. Jake Peralta is all about the crazy. From the Jimmy Jab games, to Boyle Bowling, Jake is all about fun at work.

Terry views the pair as just work friends, not real friends. Yet over the course of the show, we see Jake help Terry get back into undercover work, help him when he goes for his vasectomy, and help Sharon Jeffords when she goes into labour.

By the end of the show, Jake and Terry are true friends, not just colleagues.
