Though it might be the original, season 1's Halloween isn't ranked the best.
Halloween is where it all began. In bragging that he would be the ultimate criminal, Jake bets Captain Holt that he could steal his Medal of Valor and not get caught, and be declared the ultimate detective. If Holt manages to catch him, then Peralta would work over the next five weekends. And so, the annual Halloween Heist was born!
This first heist effort doesn't have the whole episode dedicated to the heist, as elsewhere Amy and Boyle take to the streets - and also to a party in a drug bust - whilst Terry tries to find out what happened to Rosa's time in ballet school.
As an introduction to the Halloween Heist, this is a good episode but there are better ones to come.
