If there's one perfect person to lead the Nine Nine then it is Captain Raymond Holt.
Despite his stoic and precise demeanour, Captain Holt deep down is fun loving and incredibly caring about all his detectives in his precinct.
When we first meet Captain Holt he is determined to whip Jake Peralta into shape. Mandating ties, not being so care free as his predecessor; it took a while for the Nine Nine to bring out his fun side. Eventually we'd get to meet the Raymond Holt who would be taking part in the Jimmy Jab Games, getting involved in radio contests where you guess the sound and of course, one of the main players in the Halloween Heist.
For eight seasons we saw Captain Holt become the staple of the ninty-nineth precinct. We felt for him when when he missed out on the Commissioner role, we celebrated when he finally returned to the Nine Nine after both his demotion and move to 1 Police Plaza.
