When it comes to competitions, the squad of the Nine-Nine love them.

Be it a bet to see who can arrest the most criminals or a full squad games of skill, the are always pitting themselves against each other.

In the very first episode of the show we learn that Amy and Jake have a huge bet going to see who can arrest the most criminals. Terry even reveals that their arrest figures have gone up because of the bet. We even see the pair use a bet to decide whether they move into Jake's place or Amy's.

The annual Halloween Heist provides the ultimate outlet for the squad's competitive nature, with gradually more of the squad getting involved with each passing year. We even see the competition go beyond Halloween with it going onto Valentine’s Day, Easter and Cinco de Mayo.
