Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode
1. Sid The Dummy
Fast-talking, smart-mouthed and ready to jump your bones, Sid (voiced by Tom Wyner) is a ventriloquist's dummy who has taken on a life of his own, in season one's superlative ninth episode, The Puppet Show.
As a human demon hunter, Sid was cursed by the demonic Brotherhood of Seven and became imprisoned in the body of a dummy, destined to live on indefinitely until he kills every member of the brotherhood.
Though Sid seems at first to be killing Sunnydale High students and harvesting their organs, the show hits a stroke of genius by turning a popular horror trope on its head and making the possessed dummy a good guy - a flawed, lecherous, sweet-talkin', gumshoe type, but a good guy all the same.
Sid is last seen in a bittersweet moment, plunging a knife into the heart of his final surviving enemy and setting his soul free once and for all.
"So, that whole horny dummy thing really isn't an act, is it?"
"Nope!"
