Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode
6. The Shrouded Man
Another enigma of the Buffy universe, the Shrouded Man (Gary Bullock) appears in the seventeenth episode of season three, Enemies.
Initially presumed to be a great and mystical force of evil, the Shrouded Man is recruited by The Mayor to help Faith remove Angel's soul, turning Angelus loose on Sunnydale once more.
But, all is not as it seems, and the Shrouded Man actually helps Buffy and Angel con Faith into thinking the plan has succeeded, thereby repaying his debt to Rupert Giles.
Though we don't know much about his powers, we do know that he has the ability, or at least the requisite wealth of mystical power, to extract souls - and that Giles introduced him to his wife.
The whereabouts of the Shrouded Man are unknown, though creatures bearing a striking resemblance to him preside over a supernatural tribunal in the first episode of Angel's second season, Judgment, and it is not too great a reach to suggest that he may be one of the judges.
"You have risked great danger in calling on me. The deadliest magicks are needed to rob this creature of its soul."
