After silencing the citizens of Sunnydale with some magical trickery, the Gentlemen go hunting for some human hearts. They float around the streets alongside their loyal footmen, terrifying the people they encounter with their metallic smiles and eerie mannerisms.

Any scene involving these creeps is tough to get through, but the sequence at the university is the most frightening. Having infiltrated the Stevenson Hall, the footmen hold down a student whilst the Gentlemen remove his heart with a scalpel. The student’s inability to scream makes the whole thing so much worse – it really is like something from a nightmare.
