8. Touched (Season 7, Episode 20)
Spike's got a thing for big speeches. Most of the time he seems disengaged and nonplussed, but when it comes down to it, he really does care.
By the time of Touched, Spike has gained control of his mental faculties after getting his soul back, and has become a key member of the bigger-than-ever Scooby Gang. After a side mission, Spike returns to the Summers household to find that Buffy has been kicked out due to her failure in taking down Caleb.
Spike is annoyed by this, going on about how Buffy has died for them and is their leader, and even gets into a short tussle with Faith.
Hunting the Slayer down, Spike gives Buffy a long and impassioned speech about how much he loves her and how powerful she is. He then spends the night consoling her, giving her the boost needed to regain everyone's trust.
It's one of Spike's all-time best moments, where he lays it all the table and admits his shortcomings whilst praising Buffy for her strength. Just brilliant.
