8. Lorne
As you can tell from his bright green skin and red horns, Lorne is not one to blend into the background. In fact, this larger-than-life demon who loves wisecracking and show tunes is Angel's most colourful character, acting as a perfect foil to the brooding black-clad vampire.
He's not even named for a whole season after his first appearance in season two, but Lorne is instantly loveable and earns his place as one of the regulars right the way until the end of the series.
Much like Tara, he is rarely in the spotlight but he is reliably there to drop one of his uniquely Lorne lines and, again with the demons not always being evil, often acts as the voice of reason to his friends.
Despite being a 'monster', Lorne is probably the all-round nicest member of Angel Investigations.
