Buffy The Vampire Slayer Quiz: Finish These Rupert Giles Quotes

Fundamentally, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a coming-of-age story. The central characters venture through the perils of high school and young adulthood whilst simultaneously battling an array of demons, many of whom are metaphors for growing up.

Rupert Giles, on the other hand, is a bit of an exception. Rather than undertaking a massive personal journey, he plays the role of the father figure. As Buffy’s Watcher, he uses his considerable intellect to aid the gang against all manner of villainous foes.

But despite his parental nature, Giles is also one of the funniest characters in the show. His witty sarcasm – which is delivered brilliantly by Anthony Stewart Head – is always entertaining to watch, and his regular bouts of exasperation are also amusing, particularly when he’s responding to the gang’s tedious love life. Indeed, Giles’s dialogue is some of the best in the entire show.

Though Giles has an abundance of quotable lines, you’ll still have to rack your brains if you want to get 100% on this quiz, as some of the questions are a serious challenge.
