Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a weird and wonderful show full of vibrant personalities. There are so many wicked characters that it's a real challenge to pick a favourite.
Yet it's hard to deny that Willow Rosenberg is up there with the very best. Her character arc is arguably the best in the entire show: the transition from a shy, bookish teenager to a brave and formidable witch is beautifully written and performed throughout all seven seasons.
Given she's one of the three central characters, Willow's journey has plenty of detail and depth. She's featured in every single episode, and she's a vital part of the gang's struggle against the forces of evil. But she also suffers from her own personal demons, particularly in Season 6 when her fondness for magic evolves into a full-blown addiction with terrifying consequences.
