Adapted from the novel of the same name by former Entertainment Weekly reporter Caroline Kepnes, and from the sequel Hidden Bodies, You is an unsettling, pseudo-satirical spin on the rom-com meet-cute: what if that perfect guy or that perfect girl you keep randomly bumping into isn't your destiny, but a violent stalker who's researched everything about you and will stop at nothing to get you alone?

Whether it's through a worrying fixation on the lurid soap-opera-with-a-body-count plot or an even more worrying fascination with Penn Badgeley's charming softboi sociopath, You's fans can be almost as obsessive as Joe himself.

Fortunately it seems that Netflix have renewed the show for a third season, while Kepnes herself is working on novels three and four already.
