Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: Part 3 Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs
2. There Is Some Great Character Work
The first season of the series presented us with some truly great characters - many of whom were forged by their tragic backstories; others by their strength in the present. Naturally, Sabrina was at the heart of it all, but the others around her grounded the show with their authentic narrative arcs.
While Baxter High didn't get as much of a look-in this time around and the lull in the middle hindered the progression of the story, that didn't stop the writers from delivering plenty of great character arcs over the course of the eight episodes.
Sabrina may have been in turmoil over her hellish duties but, for the most part, it was handled in a meaningful - and authentically-teenage - way. It shouldn't have played off so well against Harvey's concerns over his relationship with Ros or Theo's endearing relationship with Robin, but even all of the most outlandish storylines like this one (bar one) did - simply because all of the characters are so well-developed.
