Community: 10 Best Relationships
6. Pierce And Annie
Volatility is a word that rhymes with instability, iniquity, and to a lesser extent, villainy and despite Pierce not rhyming with any of the aforementioned, he demonstrates these unreasonable traits in abundance. Annie, on the other hand, is sweet, elegant and tranquil. She's basically the stark contrast of everything Pierce stands for, which makes it inexplicably head scratching as to how these two could make such a chemically balanced pair, but as the old saying goes: opposites attract.
Just not in a predominantly sexual way, of course. Community remains a very unique series anyway, but imagine just how different of a series it would've been if this amicable duo had another type of dynamic.
No, no. Pierce and Annie's FRIENDship is actually quite a trove of endearment. The ubiquitously odd chemistry between the two is something of an abnormality - even when not accounting for the massive age gap - that just seems to work on many different levels.
She's the only one that stands in his corner when the group tries to vote him out. He pays her rent for her (with ulterior motives, it is Pierce after all). But despite all of his shortcomings to everyone else around him, he not only refers to Annie as his favourite on more than one occasion, but the vast majority of the time, he treats her like the daughter that he likely had and then lost as part of one of his seven divorces.
