Community: 10 Worst Things Abed Has Ever Done

Evil Abed is an ongoing “character” of sorts who first appears in Remedial Chaos Theory in the darkest timeline. In that episode’s presentation of multiple timelines, the Abed of the “darkest timeline” decides to embrace the darkness, grow a goatee, and make the quest for the true timeline to spread chaos and evil.

He makes a few appearances afterwards, most notably in Introduction to Finality where he trades places with regular Abed, and during a psychology training session with Britta mentally torments her by asking her about her father. We don’t see how the conversation goes, but we see the aftermath, and it’s not pretty. Oh yeah, then he goes after Jeff with a bone saw.

Now, there’s a lot to unpack here. Depending on your personal beliefs on the multiverse theory (because Community is just the type of sitcom that can make that a valid statement) there are basically two possibilities. One, Evil Abed genuinely did cross into the prime timeline and cause chaos. In which case, we need to run under the assumption that prime timeline Abed is also capable of this level of cruelty.

The other possibility is that this is just a fantasy/breakdown from normal Abed, and regular old Abed almost cut off Jeff’s arm in a moment of mental instability. The episode seems to imply that it’s the latter of the two, but both options don't look good for him.
