Community ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015 and had a fairly rocky time during production.
After three seasons with a reasonable level of success, co-creator Dan Harmon left as head writer and season four welcomed new showrunners. That season has since been labelled as the 'gas leak year' due to it seeming like a gas induced hallucination. This is because season four writers completely misunderstood the characters, and turned the show into a skeleton of its former self. It then didn't take a lot to get Harmon back for season five!
Upon returning, Harmon had trouble getting a sixth season made and eventually chose to finish the show there, presumably because a seventh season would have been near impossible to get made.
One of the key characters in the iconic study group is Britta Perry, the psych major. She lacks grace, whit, and comprehension of the English language, but that doesn't stop her from having some of the best lines in the whole show and leaving us all in stitches after a particularly funny scene.
