Jeff Winger and Britta Perry’s relationship in Community didn’t quite end up being like that at all but the love/hate back and forth between the pair was at the forefront of what made the sitcom tick. There wouldn’t have ever been a study group without Jeff’s dogged pursuit to impress the hot blonde that took his eye at Greendale Community College, only bringing the team together as a way to impress Britta.
Although they did get romantic from time to time, it’s probably more accurate to suggest they were more comfortable as good friends by the end of the show. After countless casual hook-ups over the course of the early seasons, Jeff and Britta spent seasons three through to five as just friends... as long as they don’t have too much to drink anyway and then that attraction they have for each other would seep back in.
Their personality clash was just too different for a long term realistic relationship. Jeff was selfish, Britta was seflless. It would never have worked!
