Community: Ranking Every Season From Worst To Best
1. Season 2
When trying to determine which season of Community is the best, it could honestly go either way between Seasons 2 and 3. Ultimately, however, for it's sheer volume of great, hilarious, or otherwise iconic episodes, it's Season 2 that gets the nod.
There's absolutely no denying that Season 3 hit some serious highs, but Season 2 was really where everything clicked into place, so to speak. The show had truly found its voice by fully embracing its genre-hopping style, the cast had learned to gel exceptionally well with one another, the writing was at its wittiest and Joe Russo's direction was at its best. (Honestly, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons deserved an Emmy.)
There are so many episodes in Season that could easily be considered not only the best of the season itself, but some of the best in the entire series. This entire 24-episode run was simply just that great. In fact, Even the season's weaker episodes are far, far above average as far as mainstream TV comedy is concerned.
If you're just getting into Community and want a single episode that represents the show at its best, Season 3's Remedial Chaos Theory is the episode for you. However, if you want to see the show at its most consistently brilliant over a period of time, it's time to settle in and give Season 2 a watch.
Best Episode: Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
Worst Episode: Competitive Wine Tasting
