If the past tells us anything; it's that sitcom characters are adorable, unique specimens with a catalogue of relatable quirks. Pierce Hawthorne on the other hand is the complete opposite. Sure, he has his quirks - he's one of the most maliciously vulgar personalities syndicated with the small screen and never fails to spout racist remarks more times than not - but adorable? You must be crazytown banana pants if you believe that.
Nonetheless, you wouldn't be streets behind in believing that he can be a cornerstone for some of the most ambitiously sympathetic stories within the series or just television in general. He's a shrill character. That's for sure. More than anything though Pierce is more of a product of his time; struggling to adapt to the modern politically correct climate enveloping around him. He may dress like (and even play) an evil wizard at times, relentlessly exposing his nihilistic cynicism but hiding beneath the layers lies a sympathetic idiot craving companionship above all else.
With his moronic nature being embedded into his DNA it should go without saying that Pierce has had his fair share of deranged endeavours, but how many of these things really took place?
