This cover of REO Speedwagons number one hit was the first song sung by Cory on Glee. Its a strong start for him; his voice perfect for this powerful song. This song introduces the loveable Finn to the audience, when he is caught by Will Schuester when he was singing it after football practice. Will then resorted to blackmail to secure an audition with a nervous Finn, who then became the male lead of the New Directions glee club. The song was an interesting choice for Glee, as it was unlikely their audience of teenagers would know the song. However, all Glee fans now know the song off by heart; all of them remembering Corys perfect performance and his hilarious dancing in the shower.
