Daredevil: 10 Punisher Storylines For Season 2

8. The Omega Effect

Of course, times change, and Spider-Man is now a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Peter Parker is getting recast and rebooted once more, with no formal announcement about who will be playing him this time, and when he'll be making his first appearance (rumour has it he'll be part of the main cast of Captain America: Civil War). Depending on when the second season of Daredevil drops, then, Spider-Man may well have popped up in the MCU. Just in time to play a part in an adaptation of €œThe Omega Effect€, a crossover from Mark Waid's run on the Man Without Fear's book which saw Daredevil, Spidey and Punisher teaming up against Megacrime. Yes, MEGACRIME. That is the name given to a conglomerate of crime families with an international reach, whom Matt has accidentally ticked off. Waid's approach to Daredevil moved him more into the bright, superhero world of comics than the dark, crime-ridden alley he'd occupied for a while, as copied by the series €“ so this might be a bit out-there.
