Daredevil: 11 Most Fan-Pleasing Moments From Season 2
2. Frank's Graveyard Monologue
If any one scene best encapsulates the talent and story-telling skill of Daredevil, it would be the closing moments of the second season's fourth episode. After being brutally tortured by the Irish, Matt escorts Frank to safety where he can then receive medical attention. What follows isn't a simple hand-off to the emergency services however, but an acting tour-de-force that best exemplifies the character of Frank Castle in a way no other adaptation or (at the risk of blaspheming the character's source material) even comic book story-arc has previously managed to. It humanises an inherently demonised character and in doing so attains an emotional high the series fails to eclipse, even if it certainly does come close to doing so at later points. For someone who's failed on countless occasions to empathise with Frank Castle's cause, it's most definitely spurred me to try to again.
