26. Frank Castle, Grieving Father

Right from the off, this trailer is setting things up for a pretty heavy arc for Bernthal's Frank Castle. It opens with a shot of his letterbox, just so we know who's home we're in, and then focuses in on a photo of him and his daughter, with the suggestion quite clearly being that she has been taken from him. This is compounded in the shot below, which sees him staring at a carousel in a theme park. Again, this is clearly related to his losing his family, and this particular location comes into play later on, suggesting this is where it happens - a change from the comics. As for the "one batch, two patch..." line, that appears to be a fictional book created for the show, probably just to help drive home the sense of loss. Straightaway, it's making this very personal for the Punisher.
