Daredevil Series 2 Reviews: 10 Early Reactions You Need To See

3. Praise For The Red Daredevil Costume

With the first pictures of Matt Murdock donning the all black, ninja-esque costume came a lot of disgruntled noises. It looked like a decent adaptation of the costume from comic book arc The Man Without Fear, but created in real-life it looked cheap and silly. How wrong the skeptics were. The black costume in live action looks excellent: realistic and intimidating it is a perfect representation of a 'home-made' superhero costume. Then Matt upgraded the red suit and the disgruntled noises returned. The red suit, made by one Melvyn Potter towards the end of series 1, is a bit... off. The cowl doesn't quite sit right and it's definitely more black than red. The good news is that, according to Denofgeek, the costume now looks great and is the 'effective and practical superhero costume' with Daredevil being able move 'better than any big screen Batman has managed to'. The fact that one of the biggest gripes of the first series has been improved is hopefully testament to the quality of the series as a whole.
