DC's Legends Of Tomorrow: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After Pilot Part 1
5. Can Captain Cold And Heat Wave Become Genuine Heroes?
When all of the heroes are off getting pep talks to convince them to join Rip Hunter's team, Captain Cold and Heat Wave instead focus on the benefits to their criminal lifestyle. Travelling through time could only ease their thieving ways, Snart argues, proclaiming that they could steal the Mona Lisa right off Da Vinci's easel. The first half of The Flash's second season has gone some way to establishing that Snart does have a heart, and isn't a total bad guy, so it's still more plausible that he could become a hero in his own right, though whether that will actually happen remains to be seen. As for Heat Wave, he's much more of a bad guy, with less development than his partner, so it'll be more of a stretch for him. In all likelihood, though, he'll follow his captain. Also, just how hilariously over-the-top is Dominic Purcell in this role? Wentworth Miller chews scenery, but he absolutely gorges on it, and I can't quite work out if that's great or not. Over time, with him having a larger role, it may start to grate if he doesn't tone it down a little.

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
