DC's Titans: 9 Reasons It's Already A Dud

7. The Badly Edited Fight Scenes

Most superhero TV shows admittedly struggle to deliver entertaining and dynamic action sequences, because the production deadlines are so rushed there's little time to put any effort or artistry into them (see: any Netflix Marvel show that isn't Daredevil).

While there was some passing optimism that Titans, with its focus on brutal violence, might buck the trend, that's sadly not the case at all. Director Brad Anderson renders the episode's action a mostly incoherent mess, with a headache-inducing amount of cuts making it tough to savour what's going on.

It's certainly possible that subsequent episodes could improve upon this as different directors jump aboard, but it sets an irritating aesthetic from the outset, meaning you can't even enjoy the tonally-jarring action on its own merits.
