Deathstroke's blood-soaked beginning in CW Seed's animated series is nothing short of brilliance.

Slade Wilson and The CW have already had quite the relationship, what with the legendary DC Comics character's role as the Season 2 Big Bad of Arrow - where he was portrayed by Manu Bennett - but the network has given him his very own starring role as of late. Yes, the terminator known as Deathstroke is headlining his very own animated series on the free streaming service CW Seed and, after surprisingly little fanfare, the first episode has dropped.
Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons follows the eponymous antihero as he struggles to maintain balance with his family all while he's, you know, assassinating people. A 40-minute program, its not like your typical CW programming as it's excessive in its violence and isn't afraid to make full use of its R rating.
'Knights and Dragons: Part One' was a solid opener for a show with a lot of promise, highlighting how rich Deathstroke is in a character-driven story that ultimately benefits from its R rating. And if it's anything to go by, we're in for yet another strong animated offering from DC and Warner Bros.
