1. Tatiana Maslany
Currently known for her role in the BBC America original production Orphan Black, which is also a genre television series. She's won a bunch of awards for the role, including the Critic's Choice and the Young Hollywood Awards, and is currently nominated for a People's Choice. There was even an outcry when she didn't get nominated for an Emmy (courtesy of the Huffington Post). Considering the number of subtle differences she can put into her performances in Orphan Black, she would be a marvellous choice. If the series was on a normal television channel then it would be unlikely that Maslany would be available but because Jones will be on Netflix and Orphan Black only has ten episodes a season, she would be available. But would the producers of Orphan Black be pleased with her appearing as the main character on another television show? I think they would be over the moon. Anyone who appears in a Marvel production right now will naturally have their stock raised and the Orphan Black producers would hope that Maslany's appearances in Jessica Jones could result in new viewers coming over to her alternative television show to see her there too. It would be a win-win result for everyone involved, the only issue being that Marvel/Netflix would need to grab her before she fills her off time from Orphan Black with movies following her award wins. Her only downside is that she might be a little young I always imagine Jones as being in her late twenties/early thirties but a younger character might be what the advertisers are looking for. But these are just my top ten. Who do you think would make a good Jessica Jones?
