9. Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado - Season 3
Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado was notorious for his harsh enforcement of the law, and shared Dexter's frustration at "cold-blooded killers" being set free. After Dexter accidentally kills Miguel's brother Oscar, Prado embarks on a personal mission of revenge against the man he thinks killed him: Fred "Freebo" Bowman. He catches Dexter killing Freebo, and sympathizes with him (not yet knowing the extent of Dexter's Dark Passenger). The two form a close bond, become best friends, and Dexter eventually trains Miguel as his first apprentice. Dexter and Miguel shared an interesting friendship. Though originally based on a lie, Dexter does feel genuine affection for Miguel, as evidenced by letting him witness the Dark Passenger at work. Unfortunately for Dexter, Miguel betrays this trust by unleashing his own darkness, fueled by a selfish ambition to deal his own personal justice. He kills his rival attorney, Ellen Wolf, and then plans to kill LaGuerta when she becomes suspicious of him. Miguel remains one of the few people that Dexter regrets killing (the other two being Lila and The Ice Truck Killer).
Memorable Moment: To Dexter: "I am the last man that you want to f**k with. BECAUSE I WILL F**K YOU BACK! In ways you never even imagined!"
