7. Jordan Chase - Season 5
Jordan Chase (born Eugene Greer) was overweight in his youth. He discovered that he had an ability to manipulate others, and used his gift to build himself a future. He's the author of "Take It Now," a motivational book and audio cassette that gained him fame across the world. He's also the founding member of "The Group," a five-man organization that kidnapped, tortured, raped, and murdered various women before placing them in barrels and dumping them into a swamp. The other members of The Group were childhood friends of Chase, who he manipulated and controlled, resulting in the death of twelve women. The case at Miami Homicide would become known as the Barrel Girl Case. Chase is one of the most ruthless, and downright evil, killers in the show. The sheer heinous nature of his crimes makes even the biggest fans of the show a bit queasy. He's an interesting character with a deep, psychological backstory that unfolds rather well on screen. His character also functioned as a way for Dexter to face his feelings about Rita's death and move on from it by taking on Lumen Pierce, Chase's latest victim, as an apprentice. Chase is, interestingly, the first major antagonist
not to be killed by Dexter.
Memorable Moment: Facing death without any remorse or regret about his crimes.
