David Tennant doesn't appear until 20 minutes into the episode, riding out of the TARDIS on horseback, accompanied by good old Queen Bess. Oh, and he's also hunting down a Zygon - because the Doctor doesn't take days off.

This scene was also Tennant's first day on set, with the actor donning his iconic costume for the first time in roughly four years.

Producer Marcus Wilson said that it was like "live archive footage". Truly, it must've been both bizarre and brilliant to have Tennant playing the Doctor again!

Sometimes you hear my voice, sometimes you see my face and sometimes you read my words! But I’m usually away with the faeries and timelords! ?‍♀️

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
