Alright, yes, we've broken our own rules here.

The third episode of Doctor Who's revival run, The Unquiet Dead was first broadcast on the 9 April 2005. As you'll notice, that is not Christmas. Not even close.

However, the events of the episode do take place during the festive period. It also revolves around Charles Dickens, ghosts, and A Christmas Carol is even mentioned, with writer Mark Gatiss being a huge fan of that story. Plus, Nine never got an official Christmas special, and we feel sorry for him.

In that case, let's examine this episode. It was... it was alright, wasn't it?

The story of the Gelth wanting to kill everyone and possess their bodies was good fun, and we met our first NuWho historical figure in the form of Mr. Dickens, so yeah, this was a solid one. Very Christmassy too.
